iTest Foundations Online Course Getting Started
Before starting the course you need to import the files we will be referring to and developing. You also need to run a test case to set up the simulator environment. You need to be running either ActiveState ActiveTCL 8.4 or 8.5 (the test case determines which version you are running and sets up the simulator accordingly). If you need to install ActiveTCL it can be found here: http://www.activestate.com/activetcl/downloads/
- First, download the course files to your computer. The files can be downloaded here.
- To get started, launch iTest and click on "Start Using iTest" on the Welcome Screen:
- Select File->Import:
- When the Import window appears select "Existing Projects into Workspace." Note: Even though we will be importing a .zip file do not select "Archive File" in this step.
- Now select the "Select archive file" radio button and Browse to the "iTest_workspace_narrated_course_v2.zip" file.
- Once the project has been imported navigate to the sim\sim_check.fftc file. Double-click it:
- Click the "Start Execution in a New Window" button:
- Ensure that the test case passed:
- Return to the CBT home page.
