11655 -- itestcli requires an iTest license when you use the -g option while running a Web or Swing test case. If you do not use the -g option, then itestcli does not require a license. This is not a bug, but is the design intent. Web and Swing tests require a license for the "iTest Runtime" edition.
In addition, the man page help for itestcli incorrectly includes the -s and -f license configuration options. In iTest 3.2, these two options are deprecated and you do not configure licensing directly in the itestcli command line. Rather, you must configure licensing in the iTest GUI before using itestcli. Workaround: To use itestcli to run test cases that use Web and Swing sessions, follow this step: Before running itestcli, run iTest and configure licensing. Any of the various iTest product edition license types will fulfill the requirement. |
