  • Do not uninstall earlier versions of iTest manually. Instead, follow the instructions in the iTest Installation Guide.
  • Update environment variable settings as described on the last page of the installation wizard (the Install Complete page)
  • The Serial Port session type is not supported on iTest running on Windows Server 2008.

    IMPORTANT: For Windows Server 2008, you must disable the Serial Port session type even if you do not intend to use it.

To disable the Serial Port session type:

1) Exit iTest.
2) Browse to the folder where iTest is installed.
3) From the features folder, delete the "com.fnfr.features.itest.application.serial_3.4.0.XXXXX" folder.
4) From the plugins folder, delete these files:
    * com.fnfr.itest.application.serial_3.4.0.XXXXX.jar
    * com.fnfr.itest.application.serial.ui_3.4.0.XXXXX.jar
    * com.fnfr.itest.application.serial.windows_3.4.0.XXXXX.jar
5) Launch iTest.

Optional: Enabling the Working Sets menu item
Note: This option applies only if you use Working Sets and if you are updating from iTest 3.3 to iTest 3.4.
* Working Sets is an Eclipse option (Window > Working Sets) that was visible by default in Eclipse 3.3 and is hidden by default in Eclipse 3.4 (iTest 3.4 is based on Eclipse 3.4).

To make the menu visible, follow these steps:
1.      In iTest, click Window > Customize Perspective.
2.      Select the Commands tab.
3.      In the Available command groups list, check the Window Working Set check box and then click OK.
The Window > Working Sets menu item now appears.
