13604 -- Commands that are longer than terminal width

User is issuing a command (Telnet mode) that is longer than the terminal
width.

The terminal emulator inserts a return (but no newline), and so
the end of the command overwrites the first part of the original on the
screen.

After executing the test case in output response messed up command line,
subtracts a prompt's worth of text, and returns that as response.

After increasing the terminal column width it is behaving normally.
