You launch the NTAF proxy to enable Spirent NTAF tool (for example, Spirent TestCenter) to communicate with the NTAF server.
The NTAF server (installed and managed by your IT administrator) is an XMPP server that handles communication between the Spirent TestCenter NTAF session in Spirent iTest and Spirent TestCenter (through the NTAF proxy).
